True Grit (2010)

The cinematography is beautiful and uses wide, open shots that enlarge the all the spaces including the towns.    Each of the three main characters is appealing and fun to watch but the precocious girl thing gets a bit tiring.  The third act is almost a complete fail, with a series of improbable events that are rather uninteresting and poorly plotted.   Clearly a minor work in the Coen Brothers’ canon.
